From Dentistry to Financial Clarity: Strategic Tax Planning | David Scott & Tim Galica
What are successful practice owners doing differently? It’s rarely one big move. More often, it’s financial clarity — knowing exactly what your numbers mean and using them to make better decisions, year after year.
This practice-owner-focused session shows what sophisticated financial and tax planning actually looks like inside a thriving dental practice. Through a real-world case study, Scott CPAs partners David Scott and Tim Galica walk through how the right structure and proactive oversight drive stronger profitability, lower uncertainty, and greater long-term wealth.
What financial clarity really looks like
Most owners don’t lack effort — they lack a clear, forward-looking view of their finances. When accounting and tax planning stop being a once-a-year scramble and become an ongoing strategy, everything downstream gets easier: pricing, hiring, growth, and the eventual exit.
Using a real practice as the example, this session breaks down how clarity translates into results:
- See the full picture — the key components of strategic financial accounting and tax planning inside a forward-looking practice.
- Get ahead of your numbers — how proactive oversight improves profitability, reduces uncertainty, and supports sustainable growth.
- Make sharper decisions — where better financial insight strengthens practice value and long-term owner wealth.
- Turn planning into an advantage — so every decision compounds instead of catching you by surprise.
The result is a clear model you can bring back to your own practice — one that connects day-to-day financial decisions to lasting wealth creation. It starts with clarity, and it always should.
Objectives:
- Recognize the key components of strategic financial accounting and tax planning within a forward-looking dental practice.
- Understand how proactive financial oversight can improve profitability, reduce uncertainty, and support sustainable growth.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial decision-making, practice value, and long-term owner wealth.
